New MD for Xrail Group

Noel Travers has joined the Xrail Group as managing director to help drive itsexpansion across the UK and overseas.

He brings with him a strong record of business strategy and operational improvement. He was previously managing director of Unipart Manufacturing Group, with overall responsibility for the group’s automotive and aerospace manufacturing businesses. Before that, he was interim chairman and UK managing director of Bombardier Transportation.

Noel is a Fellow of the IMechE and is deputy chairman of its Railway Division. In addition to his BEng In Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, Noel also holds an MSc in Rail Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield.
