Sheffield-based 3Squared, the award-winning software company working across the rail industry, has announced that John Hickling has joined as client partnership director.

In his newly created part-time role, John will support 3Squared’s clients, which include Network Rail, East Midlands Railway and GB Railfreight, as they use the firm’s innovative Railsmart suite of tools to improve operational efficiency, reduce incidents and better manager business risk.

John will help the company deliver client onboarding and eLearning, for new and existing RailSmart customers and also actively engage with clients to ensure that requests to introduce new features can be acted on by the rest of 3Squared’s team.

News of John’s appointment comes as 3Squared experienced major growth in 2019, signing several lucrative contracts. 2020 is set to continue that trend, with the firm recently having moved into a new and larger office following a £250,000 investment.

James Fox, 3Squared.

3Squared commercial director James Fox welcomed John’s appointment, saying: “We’re delighted to expand our team with the appointment of John Hickling.

“We want to ensure our clients make the most of our innovative and ground-breaking rail software and having John on-board will enable our clients to continue to save time and improve efficiency, while also having a direct link to provide feedback on how our services can be improved.”
