HS2 procurement head David Poole moves to MOD

David Poole, commercial and procurement director at HS2, has left the organisation to join the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), the part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) that manages military land, as commercial director.

He joined HS2 in March 2018 as procurement and supply chain director from Highways England, where he had been in charge of procurement for ten years.

Recently, David had been overseeing the letting of major supply contracts for railway systems, a process which is now well underway.
